Overview

Semantic Radio is a project focused on rethinking the way radio content is consumed, starting from the idea that the most common format is an audio track.

The project involved the client startup in an iterative design process, including workshops, prototyping, and usability testing to validate the solutions before developing an MVP.

Objective: Design an automatic transcription system for audio content, offering users both audio and text-based experiences that can be organized according to personal preferences. Finally, deliver an accessible product for major operating systems such as iOS and Android.

Role: UX/UI Designer

  • Led design thinking workshops to define priorities and validate hypotheses.
  • Conducted benchmarks and surveys to analyze the context and user needs.
  • Defined personas and customer journeys to understand user behavior and pain points.
  • Created wireframes and iterative prototypes, tested directly with the client and end users.
  • Collaborated with the development team to design an interface aligned with technological constraints (Flutter/Dart).
  • Produced detailed documentation to ensure design consistency and reusability within the development team.

Outcomes

  • Developed a validated MVP featuring transcription and multimodal content interaction.
  • Established a collaborative workflow between design and development, improving efficiency and reducing revisions.
  • Enhanced accessibility and inclusivity in the way radio content is experienced.
  • Delivered comprehensive design documentation ready to support product scalability.
